[Wednesday November 5th, 2008] Barack Obama is going to be the next President of the United States. It truly amazes me that the children born in the next four, maybe eight years, are going to have only known the President to be an African American. These children will be brought up idolizing Obama, the President; and this puts some hope in me that maybe, our generation will see somewhat of an "end" to racism, or at least a sufficient decrease of it. [Tuesday June 13th, 2006] [ mood | content ] Summer has arrived :] Today was a half day.  Gym, teachers never took attendence so we left. English, she took the class on a trip around the school. Chem, took TONS of pictures, it was adorable and saddd. Then after school I went out to Pview Diner with Ang and Lyss Then we came back to my house. Michael, Pen, Colie and Maxx came too. We swam, ate, made a movie. it was adorable. Good way to end the year. I lovvvvve these people. [Monday June 5th, 2006] [ mood | cheerful ] Road test, passed :] Whoo Laura can officially drive even though she is not 17 until November. So we get to the road test place, wait an hour in the car, and finally start driving. My parallel park was disasterous. I didn't look both ways at an intersection. I didn't look at my 'blind spot' about 4 times. But all the points I got off didn't add up to enough so i still passed. Thank you New York State! CMNT! read (4) cmnt

[Thursday May 25th, 2006] [ mood | creative ] I've decided that I am going to put together a book of graphic design. That I made, obviously. I think it would be good for college, and its something I've been wanting to start for a while. I'm halfway done with a portion of the first piece. Its basically a mix of photography, typography, and image placement. Inspiration was the Great Gatsby. haha. Sorry if you have no idea what I am talking about. OH AND CAMP IN LIKE 29 DAYS. bye!!

[Wednesday May 24th, 2006] [ mood | creative ] Hi, lack of comments lately makes me sort of sad. But its okay.  I don't really know why I am writing, I don't have much to say. I'm leaving for Fire Island from Friday to Monday with people (!!!!). Should be spectacular. Schools almost over! If you havent noticed. Regents are soon. Season finale of Lost tonight. And American Idol.  Mcphee. por favor. Just watched the TIVOed finale of House. wtf? Makes no sense, whatever. Hmmm this day was, well, average. Had a chem quiz, what else is new? Laughed about the productive day of choir with Max. Group project in spanish. Excellente. I reeeeally need to start making my portfolio for college. Yeah. I know exactly what I want to do with my life. Well, not exactly, but its something with advertising/magazines. Because what I enjoy is photoshop, writing, reading, and taking pictures. Put them all together, and there you go. Rambling, whatever. More later.

[Sunday May 21st, 2006] [ mood | giddy ] JUNIOR PROM WAS AMAZING. Really happy. Here's the story. So first, a millllion people came over to my house and we took pictures in the backyard for about an hour. It was really cute, EVERYONE looked absolutely gorgeous, and the pictures were so cute. Oh don't worry, i'll post them asap. So then, i have to admit, i didn't really have high expectations for actual jr prom at all. Yah, so everyone from my house traveled the long perilous journey accross the street to the high school. We stood outside and saw everyone, took pictures, it was nice. Then we went into the gym finally, which was a huge improvement from the blue wrapping paper on the walls that we all saw the day before. And, might i add, me and andreas job taping the lights to the poles was infact magnificent. So basically our huge group found a table, threw our stuff down and started dancing! Yeah pretty raunchy. Whatever, teenagers will be teenagers. haha. It was a lot of fun. At first we were like uhh how are we gonna endure hours of this, but then once we didnt stop dancing time flew by and by the end we all didnt even want to leave. But we did, with the gorgeous policy of 'you have to forever stay at junior prom if your parental guardian does not sign you out.' Then a million lovers all came back to my house and changed. Thats when the problems started..haha wont get into it. Whatever. So yeah everyone got dressed into the after prom clothes, and then the two limos came. One to the comedy club, one to the dance club. I went to comedy club with like half of everyone. SO we get in the limo and of course turn on the music and start going crazy. We get to the comedy club, dangerfields, where we see some other people from our school and a lot of other school's after prom people were there too. It was pretty funny, minus the gross kids throwing up everywhere and how everyone was getting into fights and two girls literally tore eachothers shirts apart and at one point the police came and had to stop the show for a minute. haha that was great. loves it. Yup so then it was over, got back into the limo, and decided we needed to end the night with some good dunkin donuts at 4 in the morning. classic. We hung out there for a while, and then sadly departed from this sick night. Boy this was long. NExt years prom update will surely be longer. Basically, i had a sick time. Unexpectadly very very fun. whoo. Even with all the drama that came with planning, twas worth it.  Clearly no sane person is going to read all of that.  But go ahead, comments would be gorgeous.

[Saturday May 20th, 2006] [ mood | excited ] Yes, i know. Junior Prom is in less that 3 hours, and people are coming for pre-prom in less than two. But i'm all done getting ready and i need something to keep me busy in the mean time. Last night turned out really fun. It was pretty spontaneous. First, Megan drove over with Mahta and Michael, and we went to the school to help out. Kinda akward, so we kinda left. Andrea came over 5 min later, and everyone else left and me Andrea went back to the high school to help for some reason. We masking taped the lights to the volley ball poles as the gym was literally being like wrapped in blue wrapping paper. haha. So then we snuck out and snuck into idol in the LGI and saw the last three performances, before being locked out when they announced the winner. So we hung around for a bit and talked with everyone, then left and got Ralphs. Cute night. Today was nice. Woke up late, got my nails done, and then went to get my hair done with michelle, where the rest of Plainview was. First my hair was done really curly and i didnt like it so she changed it, and now i love it. Muchhhh better. Then i got makeup done, and came back here. EXCITED. Adios.

[Wednesday May 17th, 2006] It clearly got to that point of the year again where I can't get myself to do any work. Yet, ironically, I have basically been doing better on tests then I have all year. Knock on wood, of course. Junior Prom is this weekend, after waiting forever, and it better be fun. After all of the planning and unnecessary problems that came with it, i really hope its great. I think thats it.

[Sunday May 14th, 2006] [ mood | calm ] Weekend flew by! Oh and my layout is really cute. Ignore the strage robot, i don't really know why it is saying 'destroy'. Anyways, Friday I had Nyssma. oh boy! Basically, I wasn't nervous, or really cared at all for that matter, because its really not a big deal. I sang my song, kind of switched keys for a couple seconds in the middle. HAHA whatever. Then the sight reading, it was okay, I got the notes right but the pitches were a little off. Saturday I finally got to the mall, went with Mich, and then plans at night got messed up so we saw Just My Luck, which was adorable. Predictable, unrealistic, but adorable. Then today is mothers day. Went to regents review classes in the morning (horrible!!) then out to my family friends house to celebrate mothers day, in which my sister and I sat on the computer. Cute stuff. School tomorrow, still need to write schendil essay, do math homework, and all of the other things I can't think of right now. My pool is opened, the weather just has to stop being gross. Junior Prom in, uh, six days. Excited.

[Monday May 1st, 2006] day: So i had my very first ap examination. holy mofo. First of all, i felt so sick during the multiple choice, and i had a huge headache, which did not add to my ability to choose the correct answer. We got a break after that, so i felt a little better, and i wrote my three essays with ease, which was pretty excellent. After that it was 12:00 but we are allowed to leave school if we want so obviously I did. Andrea and I went to town bagel, then some stores, then my house, then her house, and then sat tutor. Oh boy, hectic weekend/monday.
